I understand they may have offered substantially more than Cambridge was paying.
So two peanuts and a raisin.

I admit I was surprised that Sylvester left, he was one of the players I was expecting Craig to want to hang on to.

I have heard rumours as to who Craig is looking at, but we wait for announcements.

Ealing sign Patrick Campbell, wing/fullback from Munster. Young guy, 22, not eyepopping physical characteristics.

Still need a THP, 10, 7, 2nd row and centre to have a match day squad. I know who the centre is and have an educated guess about the 10.

Simple one plays 6 and the other 8, both play there. Also means we can also have an impact sub so they could play 50/30mins.

I heard we have signed 22/23 players and I would hope we will probably add to it, as we normally have trialists. With a late season start there will be plenty of time to make the right signings.

Whilst Bedford had a bumper season last year and are a shining example of what a professionally run semi-pro side can achieve at tier 2, they are some distance behind Ealing and (I suspect) Worcester Warriors when it comes to next season with regards to consistency across the board week in week out. It'll be Trailfinders and Warriors battling it out at the top comes seasons end next year.

Can't argue with your logic there on all points made.

Craig Willis, fly half from Ealing to Agen in Pro D2. He has been grateful for the club the last few years. Opportunity came up on  shirt notice, and he had to take it. Means that we really need to have Worboys.

That didn't take long - can't believe everything you read in the press

Will Feeney, Full back, joins Ealing from Chinnor. Would be interested in what the Chinnor folks think of him? I assume that Craig Hampson will have provided Ben with a clear recommendation.

Feeney was excellent this season ( and the two seasons before ) until a season ending injury in January, ironically against Ealing. His departure to Ealing was announced by Chinnor before the final game of the season. By the way, he is an Aussie !

On Friday, Chinnor announced the signing of full-back Freddie Owsley, previously of Edinburgh and Scotland 7s, but was playing for Watsonians last season. Presumably signed as a replacement for Feeney.
