Yes, Weekend of Sat Oct 4th has been confirmed. Fixture list wasn't released until July 22 last year, there is an unconfirmed rumour that this year it will be July 19.

I believe so - but totally irrelevant (IMO of course). I couldn't see football doing similar.

I believe the Prem is starting late, as four of the venues are in use. I understand they were thinking there might be a cup - until there wasn't. So we start late too. Fun here, isn't it.
