The strength of the squad has been a real surprise to many Wuss supporters. We expected to be competitive, but this looks competitive +.

We were told that in the early days of recruitment planning Vaughn and Everard had 600 names on white boards, none of which they had to go looking for. Even allowing for some exaggeration, there were many players looking for a new home.

According to TRP today there are 58 former The League once known as the Premiership iership players still looking for Clubs for next season . The list isn't accurate, two shown as leaving Quins have new Clubs.

How nice to see the name Jason Whittingham back in the news… after all he did for Worcester Warriors he’s now working the same tactics in football with Morecambe. Fit? Proper? My @r$€!

Are Wuss still obliged to pay back Rugby creditors before the start of the season?  Helluva good squad taking shape that must have cost the proverbial bob or two.  Surely the moral stance would have been to pay the debts, then assemble a squad.whist talking of debts, I'm sure I read that they have paid part of the COVID loan back, any mention of when the rest will be paid?

There is a schedule of repayments of rugby creditors. I believe there is considerable work going on behind the scenes to establish just who is due how much. It is certain that RFU have full oversight of this process, but rumoured that they’re not being of much assistance.

I doubt the details will ever be made public, since the whole concept of defining rugby creditors as a group, and paying them with funds provided by the new owners falls way outside receivership and administration reporting requirements.

As an aside, season ticket sales of over 4,000 and all available hospitality suites having been sold has contributed hugely to cash flow, and the pitches and stadium are in daily use by a variety of users, all contributing to income.

I still feel aggrieved and uneasy about a club being parachuted into The Championship, not on merit but on some other criteria which is nothing to do with rugby. However, it is now fait accompli so I guess we just have to accept it. Great for Worcester and their long suffering supporters, but annoying (to say the least) for supporters of Richmond, London Welsh et al who suffered a very different fate.
Looks like, from the players recruited so far, that Worcester will be at or near the top and will, no doubt, be fighting it out for promotion at the play off stage.
Looks like Ealing (who have earned the right on the field to be promoted) will, once again, fail the ridiculous minimum ground standard criteria. So, if they play Wuss in the final and win, will Wuss be promoted?
My hope is that Doncaster, which is proper club run sustainably and with a lovely stadium, will get their act together on the field and win the league. Not out of the question looking at the way they finished last season.

Those season tickets sales are impressive, and the stuff of dreams for the other Champ clubs. That's before you add on the non-season ticket holders paying per match and on the day walk ups at Sixways. I'd imagine home attendances of circa 6,000 would not be unrealistic.

I would be interested to know how many supporters are likely to travel to away games, any indication of that yet?
