Richmond v Worcester is shown as Saturday 4th April on the Warriors' fixture list.
Déjà vu? I’ve seen it all before!

I can understand that for away games.
But given we own our ground, and do not share it with any other club, does this mean that there may yet be TV interest?

Chinnor have the home game against Cambridge as being Friday April 3rd !

Which is Good Friday and will be a 3pm kick-off.......

According to the BBC:
"Worcester Warriors' first game back in professional rugby will be a local derby at home against Coventry on the opening day of the new Championship season... Worcester also face Ampthill, London Scottish, Nottingham, Cornish Pirates, Richmond and newly-promoted Chinnor at Sixways before the end of the year"

Worcester v Coventry and Bedford v Ealing on that first weekend…. very tasty indeed!. As for Donny, we’re playing the only team to do the double over us last season in Nottingham, that certainly adds a bit of extra spice to what is always a cracking game - our most local fixture in round 1 and 26 - personally, I like that.

Wish they change the matrix so you don’t play the same team home and away 1st and last game, having said that Blues will prefer drier conditions v Ealing generally.

Completely random fixture generator giving Worcester a home game to start against a reasonably local side? Nobody saw that one coming!

Away to Aspatria would have been reasonable. Gives Worcester (name?) to get some gate money to pay off rugby creditors that were to be paid before the start of the season - but perhaps they have.

Note to self, stop criticising Worcester

That does sound like the same way the fixtures are generated at counties levels.

Bluesman, “Random fixture generator”.

Yeah right. I’m just surprised they didn’t send us to Caldy or Cambridge for Rd1 to show us what the Champ is all about.

Anyone have any idea on the playoff dates? Are these going to be the immediate weekends following the end of the regular season or is there a week break?

Prem rugby final is 20th June, so I would expect the promotion playoff (if there is one) to be w/e 13th and 20th June. There are 4 weekends between then and the end of our regular season and 3 weekends needed for our playoffs. So there will be a week gap somewhere, I assume either at the start or the end.

Has it also been confirmed who has the 2nd leg of the promotion final at home? I could take an educated guess…

I wouldn't be surprised if the right team wins the champ play offs, there won't be a promotion playoff with the Prem team, just promotion.

Doncaster Knights will have to play the elimination game as you well know Knightsboy- we are not the favoured team.

My brain has been affected by the heat. When did we play on the 70s? Was it September to March or April? I know we played every week but not sure if it was 26 or 30 games.

I think it was April. Wasn't there something about club insurance whereby you couldn't play in May as not covered, and a lot of Easter tours happened in April.

Amsterdam, Hamburg, Barcelona - might need a thread on it's own but it would be blank - what goes on tour etc!

I like a Friday night at Bedford.

I think the Mobbs memorial is also a Friday night.
