Great contest at Sale FC, Taunton showed great spirit and gave Sale a real fright. The Taunton Boatneck No 6 especially.

A report on today's encounter between Chinnor and Moseley. Chinnor scored three times in the last 8 minutes to give the scoreline a flattering look. With 3 minutes to play, Moseley were pressing for the winning score, but an interception try put Chinnor out of reach. With Moseley still searching for the try and losing bonus points, a knock-on enable Chinnor to fly-hack to the other end of the pitch and win the foot-race to score. In truth, the pattern of the game was mostly Moseley lose their line-out, then Chinnor knock-on. Not the greatest quality, but very entertaining ! |

A report of Mowden's 1 point defeat to Cambridge is on the DMP website. It was a very well contested and entertaining game, though once Cambridge had established a good lead, Mowden were always playing catch-up.
From my perspective, two bonus points isn't a bad return from a game where the opposition had a three score lead at halftime, dominated the lineouts, and Kwaku Asiedu seemed a threat whenever he got the ball in hand. |

Sounds like I missed a cracker. But having just got back from back-to-back conferences, I could not face the travel. I recall Darlington being a tough side to beat, so we will take any win. Cambridge have 20 points from four games. It is a lot more than we had at this stage last year. Mind you we have a tough run of games, yourself, Sale, Rams, Cinderford and Rosslyn Park. We will know more after those. |

You did miss out as it was one of those 'Who needs the Premiership for excitement and entertainment when you have League 1' type of games.
There are video highlights of the scoring page on Mowden's website. |

I think National 1 has always had that sense of adventure! Perhaps because there's not quite so much at stake financially or reputationially - its always been a league where anyone can beat anyone else.
