Chinnor ended a run of 5 consecutive defeats with ultimately a convincing victory over TJs. However, the visitors were still in the game after 50 minutes with a strong wind at their backs, and a man advantage. Trailing 10-24 they camped in the Chinnor 22 but were unable to convert territory into points.

Two tries for Chinnor in the final 20 minutes put to a gloss to the final scoreline.

A full report is attached for anyone interested

A video of the score highlights is on the Mowden Park website, as is a report of their narrow defeat to Cambridge.

Thanks, I did not make it to the Arena and had to follow updates on Twitter while watching Cambridge Exiles in their top of the table clash.

I am not sure if I have seen a defender tackled into the posts before.

I am not sure if I have seen a burger van adjacent to the pitch inside a 25,000-seater stadium before... Big smile

Quote I am not sure if I have seen a defender tackled into the posts before.

1. 5 yard scrum after touching post or is it just grounding next to post

2. Penalty taken by first DMP player was not tapped, just thrown to ......

3. ...player who took a tap penalty from wrong place

Just of interest, no complaints about the ultimate score

It was thrown back to a player who tapped in front of the ref, I am happy with that.

DMP got two scores from speculative kicks, could have got more.
The boys bounced back, four tries five points, move on.

Still a lot of rugby to play, everyone simply needs a strong finish and see what happens.
There could yet be three teams up - if Ealing or Doncaster win their case and Scottish do go North.

Best of luck to DMP.

Ref missed blatant deliberate knock on by Cambridge in 1st half. Ref ignored 7 or 8 high tackles by Cambridge. Ref./ touch judges ignored umpteen offsides by Cambridge. Ref. penalised DMP for feeding in the scrum, no different to every put in during game. Ref. seemed totally dumbfounded at officiating scrums!!! Apart from that a decent game. Well done Cambridge!!
