Something of a stab in thw dark but here goes CS Stags 1863 5 v Brighton 2 No idea so home team in a high scorer Dorking 5 v Tunbridge Wells 1 Close but on the evidence of the warm up games I think Dorking will do well this year Havant 5 v Sidcup 2 Home advantage Hertford 5 v Sevenoaks 1 and again Maidenhead 5 v North Walsham 0 two newly promoted teams so no idea Tring 1 v Wimbledon 5 Wimbledon have been strong for a few years and do not see that changing Westcombe Park 0 v Sutton & Epsom 5 S&E back down but suspect they will have too much for Westcombe Park Good luck to all

Let's be honest none of us really has a clue about each teams strength, so here's my guesses for this week, hopefully we'll have a better idea next week. C S Stags 1863 1 v Brighton 4 With no evidence to back it up, i think Civil Service may struggle this season. Dorking 4 v Tunbridge Wells 1 Dorking are always difficult to beat at home. Havant 5 v Sidcup 0 Again with no evidence, i think Havant may be the suprise package this season. Hertford 5 v Sevenoaks 0 Hertford splashing the cash i hear. Maidenhead 5 v North Walsham 0 Long old trip for North Walsham for no return Tring 4 v Wimbledon 1 Wimbledon may have more quality, but Tring can be awkward at home Westcombe Park 2 v Sutton & Epsom 5 Heart rather than head after a pretty ordinary pre season.

CS Stags 4-0 Brighton Dorking 5-0 Tunbridge Wells Havant 5-0 Sidcup Hertford 5-0 Sevenoaks Maidenhead 5-0 North Walsham Tring 0-4 Wimbledon Westcombe Park 0-5 Sutton & Epsom Top 4 & Champs from: Wimb, Hert, Dorks & S&E Surprise Package: Maidenhead Bottom: 'Not sure' think all the promoted teams (less a surprise package prob) will struggle in this league and an 'established side' may also fall through the trap door (IMO).
Good luck everyone ! Edited by BigChief - 02 Sep 2021 at 11:40 |

Looking forward to getting going this Saturday!
Just to clarify- we haven’t been promoted, but transferred over from SW Prem. We were in 2nd when the season stopped, having just beaten Champions, Barnstaple 43-14. The PPG rule then placed us 3rd by virtue of having 2x home and 3x away games left, (compared to Weston who had 3 home, 2 away). We felt we were in good shape and form to take that playoff spot for promotion to Nat 2 before the season was understandably stopped… We are under no illusions that the London Prem is going to be tougher, but we’ll also be in a stronger position from an availability perspective too (travelling to Cornwall and Devon every other weekend takes it toll). Hopefully meet some of you at Braywick this season, and at your respective grounds- good luck all.

CS Stags 1-4 Brighton - Tight and could go either way Dorking 5-0 Tunbridge Wells - Dorking likely title contenders Havant 5-0 Sidcup - Havant recruited well and plastic pitch a huge home advantage Hertford 5-0 Sevenoaks - Herts tough at home Maidenhead 5-0 North Walsham - Another plastic pitch, another huge home advantage Tring 0-5 Wimbledon - Dons up there with Dorking at prize giving time Westcombe Park 1-5 Sutton & Epsom - S&E will score plenty of points

Just to be clear the prediction league wil be scored as 4pts for a correct result and 5pts if it exactly matches the league pts awarded to each team We then have the 5 pt bonus for perfect predictions of all games and 3pt for all correct results but I very much doubt we will be handing many of those out, certainly not until we can see some kind of form emerging which will probably be 5 games in Good luck

CS Stags 1863 4 v 1 Brighton Dorking 0 v 5 Tunbridge Wells Havant 5 v 1 Sidcup Hertford 5 v 0 Sevenoaks Maidenhead 5 v 0 North Walsham Tring 1 v 5 Wimbledon Westcombe Park 0 v 5 Sutton & Epsom 539 days since our last league fixture. Bring it on. Good luck all... but maybe a smidge less to Dorking! ;) An average start for you please! Come on Wells. I think my biggest concern this season has to be about match fitness for all clubs and the related increased risk of injury from 18 months of minimal impacts. Here's to a competitive and safe season for all.

I was at the Dorking TW match yesterday. Dorking shot out to an early lead and TW fought back in 2nd part of first half and it was 21. 11 to Dorking at half time. TW pushed very hard at start of 2nd half but Dorking held out and at the end their youth and fitness showed. I would say two sides at opposite ends of the spectrum with TW being older and some players at the twilight of their careers whereas Dorking much younger and have filled out in the break period. Only bug bear was the constant appealing for yellow cards by both sides and Sir gave them lectures about it more than once. Late in 2nd half Dorking had two in the bin and TW 1 and suspect Dorking were lucky not have been carded earlier but the ref didn’t as he was sick of the appealing. Hope the RFU stamp this out as no part in the game and causes friction on the pitch
Good game with two good sides with a big crowd as Dorking Centenary year but they need to sort the bar out and get proper bar staff

Great day at the lane on Saturday ..unfortunately I missed my first game home and away in three consecutive seasons !! due to a covid rescheduled test match at the oval where England got 3 wickets in 7 hrs !!...painful and £6.90 a pint as well!😫 |

TW supporter here. Broadly agree, although perhaps not quite so many old hands in the side as the above would suggest. Wells finished both halves the stronger, even though that possession wasn't converted to points. You'd expect a side with older and in-their-twilight players to struggle with stamina towards the end of the half against a young side! :p They've obviously lived hard lives, bless them. I've just had a quick look at our line up and there were maybe 4 or 5 of our starting line-up in their late 20s and up and another 5 who have played in our Academy in the last four or five years. It's a good mix of youth and experience.
21-3 after 17 minutes. Dorking blitzed us early on. For the remainder we were there or thereabouts. Agree with the comments about reffing and cards. It's going to be interesting to see how everyone beds in over the next few weeks and where we all are by mid-October. As we've got a folder of photos already, here's mine - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=twrfc&set=a.4184394548282481 Very TW oriented! |

Ha. I've been watching him play since he was 13 or 14. Great hands and really reads the game well. He probably could have played at a higher level but he's very much a club man. His brother was Captain on Saturday. Not as young as he once was, but he's got a few years left in him yet! |
