Strongly worded statement on X from Lymm about the decision to allocate clubs to N2 W/N/E

Wherever you draw the lines, there will be seasons where the numbers do not work.

The advantage of three divisions is it gets rid of the long journeys that N2S had, like Redruth to North Walsham.

It sort of works if the tri-point is around Birmingham, but as it moves North, there is a long way to the next club - and it makes a vast difference to the Cheshire clubs' travel.

Made even more painful as the RFU no longer funds travel.

Though Lymm's travel will be less than Redruth's.

The alternative is to have strict lines and vary the number of teams relegated or promoted to keep numbers square. I am not sure that there would be sufficient support to return to that.

But, if there is to be another look at league structure, these are the points that need to be discussed.

They don’t suggest an alternative though.

And Camborne’s.

I always forget Camborne.
I do not recall Cambridge ever playing them.

We did visit Mount's Bay, Redruth and Launceston in one season.

It’ll be difficult to forget Camborne next season; they’ve just announced that Sam Matavesi is coming home from France to join his brother Josh for 2025/26🥟

Exactly. What would be their alternative suggestion?
