Scrumtime deserves a response to his observations about Parks ability to concede 48 unanswered points after leading 12 nil away at Chinnor. Very clearly and for the avoidance of doubt: 1. The best 15 players and bench belonged to Chinnor 2. If Nick Easter had come on it could have been over 50 I did text a longstanding Park committee member at half time to say that Park could well get the Alex Ferguson hairdryer treatment at half time. This was clearly not the case because as Scrumtime well knows: 1. The game has changed and player welfare is paramount 2. Park are not good away from the Fulham winebars on a Friday night during the skiing season I suspect that a nice bottle of Bollinger could have been offered to all players at half time to give the players a lift - but clearly this didn't work either. On a brighter note I'm going to suggest that the half time Bollinger is replaced with Pot Noodles and the Bolly is sent up to Big Eddie instead having just seen the Caldy v Ealing result. ------------- If you're not on the pitch you can't win the game |

Absolutely correct Scrumtime - I am definitely going to have to increase the 5 million sponsorship I made this season to 10 million next season. Although not as much as Sir Mike's sponsorship at at Ealing - its been good year in the hedge fund business and my accountants are urging me to splash 10 million before the new financial year. In addition I now have a new pair of shears to trim my hedge. ------------- If you're not on the pitch you can't win the game |
