Jake Sterland re-joins the Leicester Lions for his fourth season for the 25 /26 campaign. The former Leicester Tigers Academy and England U18 winger is a very powerful runner who also competed in the 100m at the English Schools Athletics Championships.

Stortford released a load of players today including 4 or 5 who regularly made match day squads. Have retained 17 and are on the lookout for new players.

Bit of a shame imo. They ended the season very well and seemed to have a settled squad. Will need a few good recruits to bulk the squad up.

Stortford 10 has signed for Rams. I recall him being a class player when they visited OBR last season.

Does that mean Fraser Honey is moving on, or would one of them play full-back ?

Maybe Leeds Tykes should offer him something tasty to go up North…a scary lack of new incomings for their step up.

I heard the Stortford 10 (Cooke) didn't get on well with the coach and had a few spells on the sidelines for it.

From the little I saw of him he looked a good player and excellent kicker.

The biggest loss imo will be Langworthy, a big kiwi back row with a mullet and tache. He's pretty much started every game for the last 3 seasons. The starting winger Smith also retiring I believe.

Be interesting to see how they replace them.

Another two re-signings at Moseley are Hookers Ben Pogson and Sam McNulty. Our third Hooker Ryan Roach has retired but with this announcement we've kept some continuity in the front row.

Maybe just maybe as he was in county final he was still a Otley player and therefore they have jumped gun by making announcements of their leavers? If he had been injured during the county run not much good as a signing, tykes lost Will Dennis for 3/4 of season last year injured on Yorkshire duty so guessing they would have contracts etc for afterwards?

No doubt our weak media team will announce once contracts start

Please don't let that get in the way of your total dislike and bitterness of the club though as it seems to keep you going somehow

Chin up buttercup have a good season

Well considering training starts tomorrow for them you’d expect a flurry of exciting announcements soon.

Just let me know if you want any. Specifically an ex skipper re-joining. I’ll start handing them out now as the social media posts will probably come in October if you ask nicely.

I should imagine they need to employ such social media gurus such as townsend training who has moved to Macclesfield (when hes not pawpawhausing the Lymme (paid) boys)

Their social media is as weak as their former wingers hamstrings

Adam Brown (National 2 North 2nd top try scorer + captain of the club) has yet to resign for Leeds Tykes, worrying times if they're set to lose another big figure in the club, first Jake Brady and now Adam Brown.

Need some big big signings to be announced very soon to fill the boots of two legends,

Re-signed in the first post actually was Adam, let’s not use a place for good ruggers discussion and news as somewhere where we post things bashing clubs that don’t have a minute of research behind them!

Sides will need to prepare for a similar level of forward play from Moseley as last season as we announce further re-signings of Back Rows Will Safe, recent Jamaica Captain Morgan Dawes and Chilean International Santiago Edwards.

Smith also doubles as a flanker when required.
