Week 8 fixtures:-

Alnwick vs Carlisle

Billingham vs Kirkby Lonsdale

Blackburn vs Macclesfield

Blaydon vs Sandal

Lymm vs Morpeth

Rossendale vs Ilkley

Wirral vs Harrogate

Let's have a peek and see if I can offer a few pointers(with my record, maybe not!)

Alnwick is a difficult place to get a result but they have a few struggles at the moment, Carlisle will be buoyed by their recent win , so I'm going AW.
Billingham should be more than capable of beating Kirkby Lonsdale, going HW.
Blackburn vs Macclesfield would seem to be a contrast of styles, Macclesfield big winners at Sandal last time should overcome Blackburn who have been a bit inconsistent.
Blaydon have only lost once but had to battle to beat Lymm last time out, HW for me.
Lymm v Morpeth could go either way, Morpeth had a slow start but getting used to this level now , might just see an AW here.
Rossendale vs Ilkley , something got to give here , both looking to arrest a losing streak, Rossendale to record the win.
Wirral vs Harrogate, cant see a rampant 'Gate slipping up so should still be undefeated after this.

This weeks UNBANKABLE will be Billingham vs Kirkby Lonsdale (could have picked any of the others, tbh)

Bonus point? Yes

Top of the league? Yes

Got out of 4th gear? No

That was the clear message after todays 57 nil victory over Kirkby Lonsdale. A good win, some good tries scored against a big capable Kirkby Lonsdale side.

Billingham were on the attack straight from the off when hooker Jordan Foulds scampered over out wide.

18 year old Joe Ross again amongst the scorers with available again Michael Whinn bagging himself a brace. For those that dont know Michael was found not guilty following his recent red card.

Elliot Husband, Conner Foley and Josh Wilson all got amongst the scorers but it was Luke Wilson who seems to have taken the man on fire tag from Kirby getting himself another 2.

57-0 and a good defensive display.

Credit has to be given Kirkby who never gave up and did put some good phrases together but were stopped short by a stern Billingham defence.

Overall it was Rugby that was todays winner
