Predictions:
Jersey 1 v 4 Doncaster - Jersey have been imperious so far this season but I was excited by how Donny played last weekend. We also have a good recent record v Jersey so I’m optimistic. Should be an awesome game.
Nottingham 5 v 0 Richmond - Nottingham at the Bay this season will be a hard game for everyone, just ask Donny!. They’ll beat Richmond comfortably.
Ampthill 2 v 5 Caldy - A bit of a punt but I fancy BE’s boys to trump the Mob.
Bedford 5 v 2 Hartpury - This will be played at 100mph. Bedford to edge it and bounce back from their Donny disaster.
Coventry 4 v 1 Cornish Pirates - Two teams who are rebuilding a bit and have yet to find a rhythm this season. Genuinely don’t have a clue so I’ve gone for home advantage even though Pirates have a good record at Cov!!.
London Scottish 0 v 5 Ealing - There’s some very close match-ups next week. This really shouldn’t be one of them. Different leagues (next year probably literally!).

Jersey 5-2 Doncaster. I think Jersey will triumph in a high scoring game. Unless it is tonking down.
Nottingham 4-0 Richmond. Nottingham to continue their good start.
Ampthill 5-0 Caldy. Ampthill’s games to date have been tough and I still think they could finish in the top six. Their form is good and I think they will outplay the newcomers.
Bedford 5-0 Hartpury. I expect the Bedford backs to easily score four tries.
Coventry 4-1 Cornish Pirates. This is the hardest one to predict.
L Scottish 0-5 Ealing. Could be a cricket score win.

Fixtures:

Jersey 5 v 1 Doncaster - How can I go against Donny but see the Reds going unbeaten at home all season
Nottingham 5 v 0 Richmond - Mond not great travellers, a straightforward TBP win for the Archers
Ampthill 5 v 1 Caldy - Two sides who never know when they're beaten but the Ravers will be
Bedford 5 v 0 Hartpury - Blues bounce back and win try of the week (again)
Coventry 1 v 4 Cornish Pirates - Good home side against the Pirates who play for a full 80 plus minutes, hardest game to predict but going for an away win (penalty count allowing), could easily be a Cov win
London Scottish 0 v 5 Ealing - TBP by half time, some squad rotation but 50 plus points for ET

Jersey 5 1 Doncaster - Jersey looks amazingly strong this year. Donny has been coming on, but won't have enough to win on the road.
Nottingham 5 0 Richmond - Nottingham much stronger than expected in my mind, Richmond not.
Ampthill 4 1 Caldy - Battle of the community clubs, and I think that Mob defend their fairy dell.
Bedford 5 0 Hartpury - Bedford to score 5 tries and win try of the week, again.
Coventry 1 4 Pirates - Pirates somewhat rebuilding this year, but Coventry struggled against Scottish.
Scottish 0 5 Ealing - I'm going with 70+ points for Ealing.

CPK the weather is looking mixed at the moment, but certainly not bad. If it does rain, you are very welcome to stand under the cover at the East end with us. We have a good refreshment system going
On a different note. If I were Donny I would be hoping for abysmal conditions as I think that that would be a great leveler. The dryer it is and the less windy the greater chance of a comfortable Jersey win… but hey! I am only just a tad biased on this point

Some very pessimistic assessments of Jersey weather for this Friday above - it does look like a wet start to the day, but worst of the rain currently set to clear by mid-afternoon, and the wind strength (F5/6) at least two notches down the scale from what Donny have encountered on previous visits.

There is likely to be a stream for those who can't make it, with details set to be confirmed this afternoon (Wed). It's a club stream, rather than one of the official RFU broadcasts (and yes, that means we need to cover the cost, so will be charging those who would like to tune in).

[UPDATE] And now the details are available via this link:

Jersey 5-2 Doncaster… One of the games of the week. Knights have found their mojo it would seem and this Jersey side is very good. I have to go with my team, but it will be tight.
Nottingham 5- 0 Richmond… Nottingham look good this season and I fancy them to challenge for a top 4 place come the end of the season. Just a bit too strong for Mond
Ampthill 2-5 Caldy… My other game of the week. I don’t know why, but I just fancy the Caldy spirit in this one. The Mob have to be hot favorites though. Lots of points in this one.
Bedford 5-0 Hartpury… Bedford at home will be tough to beat.
Coventry 4-1 Pirates…Pirates don’t travel particularly well, but this should be a good match-up. The weather may have a part to play, but I’m going for a close, hard fought, don’t know which way to go, home win.
London Scottish 0-5 Ealing… Enough said!

Agree Armstrong a fine player... although Pat Lam hasn't ever really seemed to recognise 'real Premiership class' as mentioned by CC. He has made 4 Prem starts in four-and-a-bit seasons, plus 18 appearances off the bench, but with players like Afoa, Sinclair and Lahiff in front of you, that's no disgrace.

Just a shame JA hasn't yet kicked on like his erstwhile flatmate Jake Woolmore, who moved from Jersey to Bristol at the same time and has made 45 Prem starts + 42 off the bench.

3 other Donny players have spent time in Jersey - Edgson for one season, Edwards for a few weeks on loan from Dragons, and Dolly for a few weeks at end of a season when he made the bench for a last-day trip to Castle Pk but never got on...

19-0 to Jersey at HT 3 tries to nil.
Donny came out firing, but a strong Jersey defense stopped them 5 short and it has been all Jersey for the last 35 mins of the half. A bit damp and the wind across the pitch. Lots more rugby to come and Donny not out of this

Fully agree mate Donny were magnificent in the second half and deserved at least a draw. Jersey were brilliant first half but didn't perform in the second half. Lots for Jersey to work on but six wins out of six games the lads will take that. A proper Championship contest between two really well-matched sides.

Never a dull moment. It was a windy and wet night, altho' there was no logical reason that one end saw all the points, when the wind was blowing diagonally towards the opposite corner. After a reasonable first 10, Donny were well under-par in the first half; and then, 19 ahead at the resumption, the Reds followed suit after the break, when their lineout went off a cliff and they failed to score during a long period against 14 men (and a couple of mins v 13). It was 19-7 with 5 to go, but the Knights kept on and scored the two tries they needed, but without any 'extras'.

Hard to pick out kickers when there are 46 players involved, but it was one big factor that made the difference, with Russell Bennett slotting 2 cons and just missing the 3rd, which struck inside of post but didn't go over. Sam Olver missed a 1st half penalty attempt, converted the early try after HT but then missed both the last 2 kicks - one blew across the posts L-R, and then he over-adjusted with the final kick of the game and pulled it to the left. Tough on him - although it only cost his side 1 point.

Agree it was a proper full-blooded contest, and having not beaten Donny over 4 league games, stretching back pre-Covid, the home side will be pretty pleased.

Excellent summary of a cracking match in which both sides should be proud of their efforts and gain belief that on their day they could each beat Ealing and make a real competition of the league this season.

Keeping Caldy Scoreless in the second half whilst scoring 19 points sounds pretty good going but I doubt my heart would have stood top to that second half live, it was bad enough on twitter

Scottish 21 (3T) - Ealing 38 (BP) 61' - Wonder try from Ealing. Holmes fielded from the touchline, then Scottish infringed at the breakdown on the 22. Burns then went 40 meters, and a pass wide scored in the corner.

Scottish 21 (3T) - Ealing 50 (BP) 73' - Malton, rolling maul. Ealing much  much sharper with Burns on.

Scottish 21 (3T) - Ealing 57 (BP) 78' - Will Davis burst through and delivers a gorgeous offload to Burns who scores from 30 meters. Front row membership for Davis to be revoked.

Meh, 30 metres, that’s nothing. We had one of our tight head props score from 40 metres at Nottingham a few years back LOL

It seems to have been missed , so for the record Coventry 42 - Cornish Pirates 5-0.
In the end a fairly comfortable Coventry win against a lacklustre Cornish team.

After 6 rounds a perfect score for Trailfinders.

Blues (5) 28 - 21 (1) Hartpury

Hartpury had quite a lot of decent players in their team including a back row of Eadie, Lewis (Bristol) Polledri (Italy international) and our attack struggled a bit, but there was still 2 try of the week contenders in there!

Fair play to Cov for their initiative to offer cheaper tix for Prem supporters without a game - pic on their SM of a trio of supporters in Wuss/Tiggers/Wasps shirts - & for getting just over 2.5k there as a result...

The estimate was that 2-300 advance tickets sold through that route.
The reason for including Leicester was that (apart from being local) they would have been playing Wasps today.

Good initiative - hopefully those new supporters were well entertained and return for future matches

It was a good match to watch, on a pleasant afternoon, with a good atmosphere. And of course a decently high score and a good home win.

What's not to like?

Some very pleasing tries there and difficult to pick any single one out. I like the BB try for the final pass around the tackle, but I may have to go for the first one for LS simply because of the inter play and we all love to see a big fella going over

The Ealing try chosen wasn't even their best of the day. Not sure why the length of the field effort finished by Luke Daniels wasnt chosen.
