Here’s my biased one eyed view on events at Well Hall v OAs.

Well if a game could be divided up it was certainly this one. For the first 20 minutes it was probably the best we have seen this season completely dominating your opposition and going 19 - 0 ahead. Next 10 OAs started coming back into it and only resolute defence kept them at bay and the next 10 belonged solely to OAs with a couple of tries making it 19-14 at oranges. OAs had the better of the first 15 -20 mins of the second half but couldn’t pierce a strong defence from Club and then a n interception saw Club extend their lead but OAs hit straight back both tries had a bit of suspicion of forward passes about them. The last 10 was all about Club again as they went through phase after phase bashing away at the OAs line and finally after the umpteenth phase and pressure the forwards finally got the score which stripped OAs of any points and one play after the restart the game ended.
Easily the toughest test we have had at home this season but for some reason we always struggle against OAs so it’s great to come away with 5 points. Big clash next week as we travel to the Sussex seaside at Worthing.
I think we are now down to the top 4 chasing the title as I think that Henley 15 points behind may struggle to catch that up and TJs at 16 but have played 2 games more than some and 1 for others getting interesting

Probably a fair assessment- I would have been happier if we had not lost at Canterbury last week
